Free Summer School for Young Entrepreneurs
The free summer school for young entrepreneurs 'Cities of the Future through Service Innovation' will be organised between 12 and 22 July 2015. The city will give additional inspiration to the summer school by developing services addressing social and environmental challenges in urban environments. The application deadline is 15 May 2015.
The participants of summer school, organised by the Regional Development Agency of the Ljubljana Urban Region and the Faculty of Computer and Information Science, University of Ljubljana, will design services with a help of information and communication technologies (ICT) to solve the challenges related to mobility, pollution, food supply, more efficient use of energy, health care issues related to the ageing population, etc. In ten days they will get acquainted with creative approaches to the development of ideas, work with experienced mentors and test and improve their business ideas in an interdisciplinary team, develop a business model and communication plan, examine the funding options, present themselves to the investors and have an option to be awarded the best summer school project and participation in the international competition of the best ICT business ideas.
