At the exhibition the visitors will hear about sustainable efforts of the Public Holding Ljubljana Ljubljana’s public companies, they will receive answers to questions regarding companies’ business operations, they will be able to test their knowledge about the companies’ activities at the wheel of fortune, compete for practical sustainable awards and put to the test their environmental knowledge in different didactic games organised by the company Ljubljanski potniški promet. They can make purses for change and the children will be making their own Cevko, the mascot of the public company Vodovod-Kanalizacija. They can also make trees used for the decoration of the exhibition area greener with their green actions performed daily with the aim of preserving the environment for future generations.
The reuse centre in Ljubljana is happy to receive well-kept and functional products people have no use for anymore. The employees of the centre prepare the products for reuse and put them on display in the green shop where they are sold at a symbolic price alongside other appealing and unique products. By buying at the reuse centre Ljubljana the waste products gain new life, individuals save money and natural resources, and new local jobs are supported.
Free tickets for Nature-Health Fair
Public Holding Ljubljana and Ljubljana’s public companies will give out coupons for free-of-charge tickets for the Nature-Health Fair to 200 individuals who will bring still usable things to the reuse centre between 27 October and 4 November 2015.
Encouragement of reuse which gives waste new life is only one of many sustainable efforts of the Public Holding Ljubljana and public companies, namely the energy company Energetika Ljubljana, the drinking water and waste water management company Vodovod-Kanalizacija, the waste management company Snaga, the passenger traffic company Ljubljanski potniški promet, the cemetery Žale and the parking and market management company Ljubljanska parkirišča in tržnice.
For as many as 45 years the Nature-Health Fair has been underlining the significance of a healthy lifestyle, quality of life and sustainable coexistence with nature. During the fair, which is divided into six thematic sets, Ljubljana’s public companies and the Public Holding Ljubljana will also present their sustainable efforts.
