From the Earth to the Universe is a exhibition of photographs of the near and distant universe marking the International Year of Astronomy, which celebrates the 400th anniversary of Galileo's first telescopic observations. The exhibition brings together photographs taken with professional telescopes including the world's largest, the Hubble Space Telescope. Also exhibited are some of the best photographs taken by Slovenian astronomers.

Aimed at showing the most dramatic images of space objects known to man, the exhibition brings together photographs of planets, comets, stars, galaxies and galaxy clusters. Exhibited images give an insight into the world of telescope technology, the capabilities of today's telescopes, and astronomical observations.
