The Start:up Slovenia Initiative with Technology Park Ljubljana being one of its members is upgrading the national programmes for activation of talents, accelerated start-up and global growth with the programme "Go:Global Slovenia for Young Business Talents and Start:up Teams".

The "Go:Global Slovenia for Young Business Talents and Start:up Teams" programme is designed to attract foreign innovative, research and business talents into the Slovene environment.

The First Foreign Entrepreneur Comes from Greece

Next week, the Technology Park Ljubljana will accept the first foreign successful entrepreneur as part of the emerging Softlanding programme being developed in the framework of the transnational project ACCELMED - Acceleration for Mediterranean Companies, co-financed by the European MED programme. The purpose of the programme is to attract foreign established entrepreneurs into Slovenia in order to expand their operations, check business opportunities and check the possibility of establishing a business in Slovenia.

Nikos Kopsias, Business Development & Marketing Manager at Oxygen Broadband from Athens will gather information about the characteristics of the Slovenian market, tax and labour legislation, business establishment and operation on the Slovenian market in a week and under the auspices of the Technology Park Ljubljana professional team.

Through expansion of the service set and with creating favourable and attractive conditions for business operation in Slovenia the members of the Initiative aim not only to retain the Slovenian entrepreneur potential but also to attract foreign entrepreneurial talents, start-up teams and successful foreign entrepreneurs and thereby further stimulate the influx of new entrepreneurial ideas and start-up of businesses operations in Slovenia and its capital.
