Gold medal for energy efficient facilities
At the 46th International Trade and Business Fair in Celje, the Public Housing Fund of the Municipality of Ljubljana received a gold medal for energy efficient facilities of Slovenia in 2013.
The medals are presented by Dnevnik d.d. in cooperation with Eco Fund, Slovenian Environmental Public Fund and Celje Fair d.d.
The Public Housing Fund of the Municipality of Ljubljana received a gold medal in the category of new buildings for the Polje II neighbourhood project.
The Polje II neighbourhood is comprised of 6 apartment buildings, business premises, a day care centre and an underground parking lot. 183 non-profit apartments are located in the neighbourhood, among them 18 are handicap accessible.
The project of developing the Polje II neighbourhood was launched in 2011 and it was built as a low-energy neighbourhood with installed renewable source technology. One of the building’s rooftops was installed with solar receptors (52 m2) intended for preparing the sanitary water, and a smaller solar plant MFE Polje with 42 kWp of power. Each building has a hygrosensitive air conditioning system.
