The much-loved Trnfest international summer festival runs in Trnovo in Ljubljana from 30 July to 31 August.

For the last 22 summers since its first staging in 1992, Trnfest has offered a high-quality, varied, genre-diverse programme featuring domestic and international artists from various fields of music, theatre, dance, literature, film, fine art, visual art as well as educational and creative workshops.

Trnfest has long since outgrown the framework of the local alternative summer gatherings in the courtyard of KUD – the France Prešeren Cultural Artistic Association and now represents a welcome contribution to the artistic-cultural scene in Ljubljana in summer, as Trnfest is distinguished by the quality, diversity, summer lightness and originality of the performers.

Festival events are free-of-charge and take place in the open air. Events move indoors into the KUD hall in the event of very bad weather.

From 29 to 31 August, the final days of Trnfest are supplemented on Eipprova ulica by the 13th international street festival ‘Emona promenade’ with performances, creative workshops and other events aimed at every generation. You are warmly welcome.
