Cultural life is reawakening and again this year we are starting the summer in Ljubljana with the June in Ljubljana festival, taking place at Congress Square from 11 to 17 June 2020. You are invited to different admission-free artistic performances for adults and children.

At the 12^th June in Ljubljana festival you can see theatre and dance performances of different artistic genres, with which we are presenting the excellent production of public institutes and non-governmental organisations in the field of culture and art.

Mornings and afternoons are traditionally dedicated to children’s events and evenings to top artistic events for the adult audience.

What promises this year’s June in Ljubljana

We start on Thursday, 11 June, when we are directing the spotlight on the most successful nine-graders in Ljubljana. At the end of their primary school education they are going into the summer with new challenges ahead, but before that they are showcasing their top musical talent. In the coming days we have lined up diverse events for children and in the evenings you can listen to the Big Band Orchestra of the Slovenian Army with Nuška Drašček, Jana Šušteršič and Neisha as guests and see performances by the Slovenian National Theatre Opera and Ballet Ljubljana.

All performances are admission-free. The festival is held in line with the recommendations and measures of the Government of the Republic of Slovenia and the National Institute of Public Health, and so, among other things, the number of seats is limited.
