On 16 October, Mayor of Ljubljana Zoran Janković welcomed Karl von Habsburg, President of the Austrian Pan-European Movement.

Karl von Habsburg visited Slovenia at the invitation of the President of Slovenian Pan-European Movement Laris Gaiser. The aim of his visit was to present the Pan-European Movement and the European Order of Knights of Wine, who preserve and promote common European cultural heritage as well as its significance and role within the Slovene socio-cultural environment.
During his visit, he also attended a round table discussion titled "The Significance and Role of the Slovene Pan-European Movement and Ordo Equestris Vini Europae, Consulate for Slovenia, in the Slovene society", which took place at the Cekin Mansion.
On this occasion, the visiting guest also signed the City of Ljubljana's Memorial Book.
