Krakovo district to its residents

From today, the Krakovo district of Ljubljana, where we have set up rising bollards, is closed to through traffic and is dedicated to its residents.

The barriers cover Krakovska, Kladežna, Rečna and Vrtna Streets.

Passage through the barriers is possible with a special electronic card. Access to the Krakovo area is possible for suppliers between 6am and 9.30am, while later access is only possible with a permit from the City of Ljubljana and the special electronic card. Emergency vehicles are able to enter 24 hours a day.

Residents can gain unrestricted access to their parking spaces or their own garages with the electronic card and a transit permit obtainable free (apart from an administrative fee) from the City of Ljubljana's Department for Commercial Activities and Traffic. In total, we will only issue as many permits as there are available parking spaces owned by the residents.

Residents who don't own a parking space can obtain an annual permit for parking in public parking areas (€100), while each residential unit has the option to get one permit.

We have kept all residents actively informed in recent weeks, and those who are potential permit recipients but who have not yet picked one up are urged to come to the head office of this department as soon as possible to ensure undisturbed access to their homes.

You can find more information about Krakovo, which is in the southern part of Ljubljana city centre where the Gradaščica stream meets the Ljubljanica at the following link.
