Launch of the EMW With Karl Falkenberg
Karl Falkenberg, the representative of the expert jury that awarded Ljubljana with the title European Green Capital, also participated in the activities of the European Mobility Week.
On Friday, 16 September 2016, Karl Falkenberg, the Senior Advisor for Sustainable Development to the President of the European Commission Jean-Claud Junker, presented the report by the European Political Strategy Centre titled Sustainability Now, then he attended the presentation of the new service of the public passenger transport company LPP »On-call transport: EURBAN« and participated in the opening of the BicikeLJ stop at P+R Barje.
Within the framework of his visit to Ljubljana Falkenberg planted a commemorative tree in the Friendship Park next to the Path of Remembrance and Comradeship. Just as a reminder, this year in spring, as part of his charitable tour connecting European green capitals he cycled to Ljubljana and donated funds, he raised during his tour, to the society Zeleni prstan.
