"leave a book, take a book!"

At the Ljubljana Castle, visitors can now find the so-called Knjigobežnice (Book Vanishing Points), which encourage people to read and exchange books.

The Ljubljana Castle Public institute has undertaken the Knjigobežnice project itself since self-initiative is the key aspect of the project.

They bought all the material required for the construction of bookshelves, which were designed by Klara Zalokar and Klemen Zupančič from the creative tandem Handmade in Moste, and used their plans to build the bookshelves, which will be placed in various locations at the Ljubljana Castle.

During the autumn-winter period, there are fewer locations with Book Vanish Points (located in the lower and upper funicular stations, in the lower Lapidarium and under the arcades beneath the Estates Hall), whereas during the spring and summer months, the bookshelves will also find their place in the shade under the chestnut trees, which make this location a particularly pleasant spot for reading.

In this way, the Ljubljana Castle encourages its visitors to read and exchange books, which is also the guiding principle of the "Knjigobežnice" project.
