Library under the treetops

The ‘Library under the Treetops’ is a project to add variety to your free time which offers visitors a chance to enjoy themselves outdoors reading books, comics, magazines and newspapers in various languages.

Borrowing reading material in the library is free of charge.

‘The only 100% natural library in the world’ is open this year at five venues. You can treat yourself to reading, flicking through a magazine and generally enjoying yourself at the following locations under the treetops in the city: Tobačna 001 cultural centre, Tivoli Park, Trnovski pristan, Tabor Park and Ljubljana Castle.

Tivoli Park

Open: every Wednesday, Thursday and Friday, 3pm to 8pm; Saturdays and Sundays 10am to 8pm.

Trnovski pristan

Open: every Thursday and Friday, 3pm to 8pm; Saturdays 10am to 8pm.

Ljubljana Castle

Open: every Friday, Saturday and Sunday, 10am to 8pm.
Accompanying programme: ‘Reading music live’ – harmonious melodies, played live to inspire reading and browsing outdoors, Sundays at 11am.

Tabor Park

Open: every Friday and Saturday 10am to 8pm.
Accompanying programme: Reading aloud, Fridays at 10.30am.

Tobačna 001 cultural centre

Open: from Tuesday to Friday 11am to 5pm.
