Ljubljana ranked seventh on the list of the most relaxing cities in the world.

As part of the Serene City Index, 75 cities worldwide were evaluated based on the following criteria: air quality, light and noise pollution, city cleanliness, green areas, traffic congestions, resident satisfaction, sunshine hours and the friendliness of the locals.
European cities took the first ten places. The highest-ranked city is Reykjavik, followed by Tallinn, Bergen, Vienna, Stockholm and Vilnius, Ljubljana is in the seventh place, before Munich and Zurich. Ljubljana received the highest marks among the first ten cities for cleanliness and green areas.
