Ljubljana nursing hospital
Ljubljana Nursing Hospital opened at Vrazov trg 1 on Friday 11 February 2011.
The initiative by the City of Ljubljana to open Ljubljana Nursing Hospital was carried out by the Ministry of Health and the Ljubljana University Clinical Centre.
The participants at the opening were the Director of the Ljubljana University Clinical Centre (LUCC) Simon Vrhunec MSc, the LUCC Medical Director Prof. Dr. Brigita Drnovšek, the LUCC Chief Nursing Officer Erna Kos Grabnar, Mayor of Ljubljana Zoran Janković and Health Minister Dorijan Marušič.
The Ljubljana Nursing Hospital, which is initially to have 33 beds, will accommodate LUCC patients that need non-acute treatment and prepare them for subsequent recovery at home. The key activities of the new hospital are to be health care and rehabilitation.
