The highly prestigious award Ljubljana Sportsperson of the Year 2012 has been awarded to judoist Raša Sraka Vukovič and shooter Rajmond Debevec, who became Ljubljana Sportsperson of the Year for the seventh time.

Among the teams, the most successful were Krim Handball Club and ACH Volley. Albin Lenaršič from Brdo Skiing Club and Ljubljana Athletics Umpires’ Association and Dr Alojz Juvanc of Olimpija Table Tennis Club won Lifetime Achievement in Sport Awards.

The Ljubljana Sportsperson of the Year awards are given by Ljubljana Sports’ Association and the City of Ljubljana. This year’s ceremony was held on 13 December 2012 at the Festival Hall (Festivalna dvorana), where Ljubljana Sports’ Association and the City of Ljubljana gave out a grand total of 111 awards and prizes.
