Ljubljana Tourism received special awards for excellence in tourism promotion in Berlin

At the international competition and festival The Golden City Gate, which rewards excellence in promotional and communication campaigns and innovative multimedia tools in tourism, Ljubljana Tourism received special awards for videos of creative handicraft workshops and the LUV Fest festival.

One hundred different entries from over 20 countries worldwide competed for the awards.

The creative handicraft workshop video presents the boutique crafts experiences that are still preserved in Ljubljana by an umbrella maker, goldsmith and silversmith, potter, weaver and printer. It focuses on artisans and emphasizes the authentic experience of workshop participants who are actively engaging in them. Through creative handicraft workshops, Ljubljana Tourism promotes the preservation and respect of cultural and handicraft heritage and the development of regenerative tourism in Ljubljana.

The promotional video of the LUV Fest festival depicts the experiences that Ljubljana offers as part of the festival, from exploring the city, museums and galleries, shopping, dancing to the spring festival, and so on. It spotlights creativity, urbanity, authenticity and eventfulness and showcases the different faces of love, not only romantic but also love for culture, art, heritage, exploration, travel and new experiences. With the festival held in February and March, Ljubljana Tourism implements its efforts to deseasonalize tourism in Ljubljana.
