Ljubljana will host the 2014 travel convention

ABTA revealed that the Slovenian capital Ljubljana will host the 2014 Travel Convention in September of 2014.

This will be the first time that The Travel Convention has visited Slovenia which shares a border with this year’s Convention host, Croatia. Slovenia is a compact but extremely diverse country, with stunning, unspoilt countryside and a spectacular coastline. The capital, Ljubljana is a picture box pretty city and one of Slovenia’s most beautiful areas, Lake Bled is only a short 55km drive from the city.

Noel Josephides ABTA Chairman said: “I am very happy to be able to announce that the Slovenian Tourist Board has agreed to host the 2014 Travel Convention. Slovenia is a beautiful, diverse country and I am looking forward to meeting with delegates in the capital Ljubljana in twelve months time.”

Tine Murn of the Slovenian Tourist Board said: “Slovenia and Ljubljana are delighted to welcome The Travel Convention in 2014. Slovenia is a beautiful country and we see this as an ideal opportunity to increase the number of UK visitors to our country and to develop closer ties with the British travel industry.”
