A City Decree has determined the maximum taxi fares in Ljubljana.

Ljubljana City Council has adopted a Decree on Changes and Supplements to the Decree on Taxi Carriage, published in the Official Gazette no. 63/2013 on 26 July 2013, which determines the maximum taxi fares within Ljubljana.

In line with the Decree, the following maximum taxi fares are prescribed:

- The maximum fare per kilometre including VAT is €1.50.
- The maximum ‘pick up’ element of the fare, the flat fee charged before the journey begins, is €2 including VAT.
- The maximum waiting time fee per hour including VAT is €20.

The Decree on Changes and Supplements to the Decree on Taxi Carriage came into force on Saturday 10 August 2013. All those using taxis are therefore advised to pay particular attention to the fares charged.
