On 17 February 2014 in Brussels, Zoran Janković, Mayor of the City of Ljubljana, attended the meeting of the Mayors of Europe's capitals and the CiTIEs Forum with the EU Commissioner Johannes Hahn.

The meeting of the Mayors of Europe's capitals – UCUE is organised by Dublin, this year's capital with presidency. This year's theme is "Cities Working for Citizens".

The mayors of 16 EU capitals will also meet with the EU Commissioner for Regional Policy and Urban Development Johannes Hahn. The central focus of this year's Forum will be the EU Urban Agenda – what it should be, what it might contain and how it should work.

The Forum with the Mayors of EU capitals and the EU Commissioner Johannes Hahn aims to encourage direct talks among the Mayors of the Europe’s capitals and the European Commission to include them in reaching some of the goals from the economic growth strategy Europe 2020.
