Mipim 2011

The City of Ljubljana showcase at the MIPIM fair in Cannes.

On Wednesday 9 March 2011 in Cannes, Mayor of Ljubljana Zoran Janković took part in MIPIM 2011, one of the largest property fairs in Europe, which runs from 8 to 11 March 2011.

The City of Ljubljana is taking part in the fair for the fourth consecutive year. It is making its presentation together with the Ministry of Transport, The Slovenia Times and the Public Agency of the Republic of Slovenia for Entrepreneurship and Foreign Investments - JAPTI.

This year's presentation is on the theme of 'the City of Ljubljana, on the crossroads of Europe'.

The following projects are being showcased at the fair:

• new railway line: Divača-Koper
• The Port of Koper
• Aeropolis, main project at Ljubljana Airport
• Ljubljana rail and bus terminal
• new city and governmental administrative building in Ljubljana

The City of Ljubljana and the Ministry of Transport have prepared a round table entitled 'the City of Ljubljana, on the crossroads of Europe', at which Miran Gajšek M.Sc. Head of the City of Ljubljana's Department of Spatial Planning and Dr Patrick Vlačič, the Slovenian Government's Minister of Transport are to give a detailed overview of the projects.

All projects are also showcased in leaflets that visitors can obtain at the fair.
