“Moje Sanje” at City Hall
The travelling photography exhibition “Moje Sanje” (My Dreams) is on display at the Right Atrium of the City Hall until 24 January, 2015. The exhibition is organised by the Society Ključ – Centre for Fight against Trafficking in Human Beings to raise awareness on the growing discrimination of the Roma children and violation of their children’s rights.
The exhibition consists of seven portraits of children and young adults depicted as members of professions they wish to become one day or had wished and could not become, because they were not able to choose their own future.
The Society Ključ – Centre for Fight against Trafficking in Human Beings aims at the public with the exhibition to raise awareness on the growing discrimination of the Roma children and violation of their children’s rights. Forced marriages, sexual abuse, work exploitation, working as servants, begging and forced to perform criminal activities are sadly considered facts in some Roma communities. Examples of such activity are rarely persecuted in Slovenia under the pretence of tolerance towards the Roma culture, and rarely even reach legal epilogue.
