Ljubljana has received a new bike box within the bicycle lane on the Miklošičeva Street in both directions to give priority to cyclists and enable them to arrange prior to the motor vehicles.

This is a third traffic arrangement of such kind in the City of Ljubljana. The first bike box is set up at the intersection of the Zoisova Ulica and Krakovski Nasip in the direction towards the Breg, and the second one is placed at the renovated part of the Rozmanova Ulica, before the Ilirska Street intersection.

Bike boxes are implemented experimentally in pursuant to the City of Ljubljana Transport Policy directives, and they allow the cyclists to arrange prior to the motor vehicles.

The traffic arrangement provides the cyclists with more safety as it alleviates the critical point of danger from the vehicles turning right at the intersection.
