New cycling paths in ljubljana

Ljubljana has gained one of four planned thematic cycling paths – the Waterside Path and the long-awaited cycling path through the Tivoli Park, which shortens the route from North to the South of Ljubljana.

First Thematic Cycling Path in Ljubljana

The Waterside Path is one of the four planned thematic cycling paths – it runs from the Fužine Castle, through the Ljubljanica River embankments, the Štepanjsko Naselje and Kodeljevo districts, the city's centre (Petkovškovo Nabrežje – Prešernov Trg – Kongresni Trg – Novi Trg) to the Špica embankment. The path is marked with blue signposts and recognisable signposts of a cycler, and runs on the existing cycling surfaces and streets of less traffic.

The 4 information tables that notion the further development of the thematic cycling paths in Ljubljana are featured along the way. The Waterside path will soon be joined by: the Forest path, the Plečnik path and the POT.

Cycling Lane through Tivoli

Cyclists can now take the new cycling lane through the Tivoli Park from the parking area at the Tivoli Pool to the overpass at the Cesta 27. Aprila in Rožna Dolina.

The new cycling lane arrangement through the Tivoli Park is one of the permanent measures of this year's European Mobility Week in Ljubljana. The path is set up parallel to the pedestrian path. It is 3 metres wide and 600 metres long.
