New german ambassador at city hall
On Monday 12 August 2013, Mayor Zoran Janković welcomed the new Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Germany Dr Anna Prinz to the Hribar Room at City Hall for a ‘get acquainted’ working meeting.
Since 29 July 2013, Ambassador Dr Anna Elisabeth Prinz has been accredited as the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Federal Republic of Germany to the Republic of Slovenia.
The working meeting at City Hall was also attended by newly-appointed Slovenian Ambassador to Berlin Dr Marta Kos and City Councillor Mitja Meršol.
After graduating in political science, Russian, law and English studies in Germany, Dr Anna Prinz became a research fellow at the University of Göttingen; following this, she studied administrative management, economics and international relations at Harvard and received her Master’s.
In 1986 she took a post at the German Foreign Ministry, working in Sri Lanka, Romania, Jakarta and Japan. Before coming to Slovenia, she was the Commissioner for International Relations and Scientific Exchanges at the German Foreign Ministry in Berlin.
