New location of ljubljana’s duty pharmacy
Lekarna Ljubljana has moved its duty pharmacy, which until now has been on Prisojna ulica, to a new site close to the accident and emergency centre at Ljubljana University Medical Centre.
The new duty pharmacy is to be found at Njegoševa cesta 6K, in the building known as Meksiko. The new pharmacy covers 400 m2, with an open self-service section featuring wellness and care products and an automated system to obtain medicines.
Another new feature is the opening hours, as the pharmacy and the self-service section will be open 7am to midnight, with an emergency window open from midnight to 7am.
The new duty pharmacy has seven release points for medicines and all are connected to the automated system for delivery of Rowa medicines. This is an automated pharmaceutical system for the storage and supply of medicines which helps the pharmacy to rationalise its costs, optimise its working processes and at the same time improve its services to its customers. The automation gives professional staff more time to talk to customers and give advice, while the system for product acquisition and storage saves time for all the pharmacy staff.
This investment in the new Ljubljana duty pharmacy comes at a cost of around €1.1 million and is the largest investment in Slovenian pharmacy services in recent years.
