New residential units for the socially disadvantaged

A new residential facility with accommodation units has been built at Pipanova pot in Ljubljana which is intended as a temporary solution to the accommodation needs of socially deprived people.

The construction of residential facilities at Pipanova pot 28, containing 22 housing units, intended as a temporary solution to the accommodation needs of people suffering the greatest social deprivation, with the associated utility, transport and external area work has been led by the City of Ljubljana’s Public Housing Fund.

There are 22 accommodation units in the building which has a basement, ground floor and first floor. Of these, 10 are one-bed (two of these are adapted for people with functional disabilities), six two-bed, four three-bed and two four-bed.

Each residential unit has a room with an equipped kitchen and bathroom. Alongside the building there are eight parking spaces, one of which is intended for people with functional disabilities.
The construction of the residential building was done in full compliance with standards for passive house construction. Each accommodation unit is designed to be rational and compact, have natural light and ventilation and aeration and is designed for energy optimisation. Solar energy generators (14 kW) have been put on the roof.

The total cost of this investment was €1,325,593.
