On 3 July 2014 a round table was held in the City Hall which was organized by the City of Ljubljana upon the release of a new booklet from the Ljubljana – a Healthy City series, entitled Socially Friendly Ljubljana.

The Socially Friendly Ljubljana booklet which is the eighth from the series of Ljubljana – a Healthy City publications features articles on the welfare state, the measures the City is taking in the field of social security, the situation in the labour market and incentives to boost employment and the possibilities for accommodation and apartments in Ljubljana. Articles are accompanied by personal reflections and stories of the people portrayed in the booklet. The last section of the booklet contains useful information and addresses and contact information of organizations offering programmes to help people in social distress.

We can conclude the round table with a statement that the City of Ljubljana is a key contributor to the friendly, inclusive and socially friendly Ljubljana with its carefully planned social protection, a number of measures in other fields within its jurisdiction and the constructive cooperation with other government and non-government organizations.
