New Units of Lekarna Ljubljana
On Friday, 4 September 2015, two new units of the pharmacy Lekarna Ljubljana have opened their doors, Lekarna WTC and Lekarna Tehnološki park.
By opening new units Lekarna Ljubljana is improving access to pharmaceutical services. The new pharmacies are the 47th and the 48th unit in the pharmacy network of Lekarna Ljubljana.
Lekarna Tehnolški park is a modern pharmacy equipped in line with the most modern pharmaceutical trends regarding furnishings and layout of interior spaces with more emphasis placed on self-service. In the immediate vicinity of the pharmacy several general clinics are planned to open, and there is already a working kindergarten above the pharmacy.
The pharmacy is also selling homeopathic medicines and the customers can order the free-of-charge pharmaceutical service »Medicines use review« where a pharmacologist with a masters’ degree in an individual consultation with each customer gives advice on correct and safe use of medicines.
The pharmacy in WTC was taken over by Lekarna Ljubljana from a concessionaire who is no longer providing pharmaceutical services as she went into retirement. This is the first case in Ljubljana where the pharmacy Lekarna Ljubljana inherited a unit from a private pharmacist. In addition to selling allopathic medicines and food supplements and consulting on their use, the pharmacy is also offering advice regarding treatment for minor acute problems with homeopathic medicines as both Masters of Pharmacy working there are well-educated in the field.
