On Monday, 28 April 2014, Mayor Zoran Janković hosted the Deputy Mayor of the city in the Czech Republic, Mrs Eva Machova from Olomouc, at the City Hall, who was visiting the Ljubljana Fire Brigade with a group of fire-fighters.

Other members of the Czech delegation were the Head of Department of Civil Defence and Rescue, Jan Langr, volunteer fire-fighters, František Procházka and Jana Prášilová, Chief Fire Officer of the Olomouc Regional Fire Brigade, Karel Kolařík, and Chief Fire Officer of the Olomouc Regional Fire Brigade, Petr Ošlejšek.

The Ljubljana Fire Brigade demonstrated the Czech delegation the system of protection against disasters and public fire-fighting body of the City of Ljubljana.

Olomouc is located in the Moravian-Silesian Region in the north of the Czech Republic and it is the fifth largest city in the country with a population of about 100,000. Olomouc is one of the most beautiful cities in the Czech Republic.
