Opening of the Legebitra Youth Centre

On 17 May, International Day Against Homophobia, Biphobia, Intersexism and Transphobia (IDAHOBiT), the renovated Legebitra Youth Centre, our first LGBT youth centre, opened its doors.

The Legebitra Youth Centre, the first youth centre in Slovenia paying special attention to LGBT persons, opened its doors with the support of the Youth Office of the City of Ljubljana.

The Ljubljana Youth Centres Network was established in 2017.

At the establishment it incorporated four district youth centres operating within the framework of the public institute Young Dragons, six youth centres managed by non-governmental organisations and a youth centre operating within the Social Work Centre Moste-Polje.

Today there are already 12 youth centres included.

The first joint activity of the network was the organisation of a youth event within the framework of the European Mobility Week 2017. They first introduced themselves to the wider public in a joint appearance at the Youth Arena 2018.
