Our scholarship grantee was excellent at the Eurovision Young Musicians 2018 competition

The City of Ljubljana’s scholarship grantee, Nikola Pajanović, won second place in the Eurovision Young Musicians 2018 competition.

Nikola Pajanović, a violin student at the Ljubljana Academy of Music and the City of Ljubljana’s scholarship grantee, ensured his performance at the Eurovision Young Musicians 2018 competetion in Edinburgh by winning the finals in March.
After an excellent performance of an 18-minute recital in the semi-finals, the young virtuoso represented Slovenia with the 3rd Movement of the Violin Concerto and the Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky Orchestra in the finals of the international Eurovision Young Musicians 2018 competition yesterday. He won second place among six extraordinary young finalists in the European Classical Music competition organized by the members of EBU. The title of best Eurovision Young Musician 2018 was awarded to Ivan Bessonov, a pianist from Russia.
