Every Thursday until 31 October 2011 you may take a sightseeing tour of Ljubljana on the 'Happy Johnny' double-decker tourist bus.

Explore Ljubljana in comfort. The ‘Happy Johnny’ double-decker panoramic open-top bus, that can carry 32 downstairs and 52 upstairs, takes you on a longer journey on which you will be shown most of the best sights in the Slovenian capital.

The tourist bus leaves at 3.30pm every Thursday from the bus stop outside Metalka on Dalmatinova ulica. The guided tour, which lasts about two and a half hours, takes in Ljubljana Castle, the Botanical Garden, St Michael’s Church on Ljubljana Marshes, Trnovo and Plečnik’s house, Trnovo church and the famous bridge, Krakovo and the Roman wall, the city centre (the Governmental and Presidential Palaces, Parliament, Nebotičnik etc), Plečnik’s Žale cemetery, Stožice Sports Park and Tivoli Park. Those passengers who prefer not to take a stroll around Tivoli Park are then taken back to the tour’s starting point.

The price of the guided tour with the ‘Happy Johnny’ tourist bus is €18 for adults and €10 for children up to 12 years old. A family ticket (2 adults and 2 children) is €40.
