Virtual meeting of the Rainbow Cities Network

This year we attended the meeting of rainbow cities, which should have been held in Bergen, Norway, only virtually due to the epidemic and discussed the activities of the Rainbow Cities Network with representatives of other cities on 5 and 6 November 2020.

At the meeting, new members presented their work and activities in the LGBT+ area, and we also talked about joint projects we are going to carry out in the coming year. One of the joint activities is the annual exhibition on the International Day against Homophobia and Transphobia, next year addressing the diversity within the LGBT+ community.

In the past year the network grew by six new members, namely, the following cities joined the Rainbow Cities Network: Kotor (Montenegro), Cork (Ireland), Frankfurt and Heidelberg (Germany), Linz (Austria) and Taipei (Thailand). And so, there are 33 cities included in the network, most of the cities are in Europe, two in Latin America and one in Asia.
