Permanent exhibition of children’s graphic printing
The entrance and exit of the car park on Congress Square are now home to a permanent exhibition of 30 pieces of children’s graphic art from Pionirski dom’s rich collection.
The exhibits are colour photo enlargements of children’s graphic prints and matrices, originating in the 1960s and 1970s at Pionirski dom under the mentorship of art teachers Alenka Gerlovič, Drago Hrvatski and Lado Pengov.
The children’s graphic art at the entrance and exit of the recently-opened car park under Congress Square reminds visitors that Ljubljana is a city of creativity and urban graphics. We would like the permanent exhibition to liven up a public space and link it with cultural content.
The cultural programme at the exhibition opening at the anchor on Congress Square on Thursday 15 September 2011 saw a performance by pupils from Prežihov Voranc primary school and young creators from Pionirski dom. The exhibition was opened by Mayor Zoran Jankovič.
