On Saturday and Sunday, 23 and 24 July 2016, you are invited to the Congress Square to the free of charge water event with the Prima Toboggan.

The event falls within the scope of activities of Ljubljana, European Green Capital 2016, and that is why its diverse water, educational and fun activities are aimed at raising awareness on the significance of water for individual lives and on sustainable management of water sources. The event is charitable in nature, namely, the public water management company JP VODOVOD-KANALIZACIJA, in cooperation with the Friends of Youth Association Ljubljana Moste-Polje, is sending 30 children from socially weaker environments on vacation to the Slovenian coast.
The water event with the Prima Toboggan is part of the Primavoda project and within its framework the JP VODOVOD-KANALIZACIJA public company is using the slogan »I am what I drink. I drink water from the tap.« (»Sem, kar pijem. Pijem vodo iz pipe.« ) with different awareness raising activities to promote drinking water from the tap and water fountains as well as sustainable and responsible management of drinking water and water sources. The Prima Toboggan is going to operate on the principle of water circulation with minimum influx and in line with hygiene standards. The water is going to be managed responsibly and sustainably, the waste water is going into the Central Cleaning Device Ljubljana, from where clean water is returned to nature. The estimated daily water use is between 30 and 35 m3. For instance, the same quantity is used for the production of 2.5 kg of chocolate or one computer.
At the moderated water event, organised by the JP VODOVOD-KANALIZACIJA public company in cooperation with the City of Ljubljana and the company Ekstrem, the visitors can go on a ride on the Prima Toboggan, pour a glass of water at a special fountain using their thoughts, quench their thirst at numerous water fountains and freshen up at the water bar with water-based fruit cocktails. In addition, visitors can play volleyball on water, take a picture at the »Giant in Ljubljana« photo corner, enjoy jumping into an enormous aquarium and other attractions, all to the rhythm of Radio Antena.
Both days the Star Park is hosting the Open Kitchen, this time organised as a picnic on the park greens. Waste separation is also going to be taken care of.
The use of the Prima Toboggan is free-of-charge at one’s own responsibility.
