Religious tolerance – islam in the sultanate of oman

City Hall's Historical Atrium hosts a photography exhibition titled "Religious Tolerance – Islam in the Sultanate of Oman, Islamic Life in Modern Arab Society".

The themes of the exhibition include the coexistence of different religious communities, practicing Islam in everyday life and the role of a woman in a society. The exhibition strives to portray the particular importance that the Muslims attribute to their holy book Quran. The aim of the exhibition is to give visitors an insight into the life of the Muslims. Through the presentation of the daily habits in the Oman society, the exhibition also portrays an image of the Sultanate of Oman.

The exhibition is being organized by the Ministry of Islamic affairs of the Sultanate of Oman in cooperation with the City of Ljubljana, the Islamic community in the Republic of Slovenia and the Averroes Cultural and Educational Institute Ljubljana.
