Renovated Letališka Street
On 8 May 2015, the renovated section of the Letališka Street between Bratislavska Street and Emporium was opened for traffic. It is an example of planning a safe, pleasant and sustainable user-friendly main road.
The opening of the renovated section of the street marks the end of construction of the first part of the modern four-lane Letališka Street with cycling lanes, pedestrian lanes, public lighting, 68 young honey bearing maple trees along the street and two new roundabouts between Bratislavska Street and Emporium.
The renovation and modernisation of the street was dictated by fast economic development in the south-eastern part of Ljubljana, that is, the logistics in connection to the city ring road as well as BTC City in relation to the city centre.
