On 9 May, the Ljubljana City holiday, we ceremoniously opened the renovated Villa Zlatica, the home of the former mayor of Ljubljana Ivan Hribar.

The renovated Villa Zlatica serves as a new venue for exhibitions, lectures, educational and other events, conceived by the Museum and Galleries of the City of Ljubljana together with the Forum of Slavic Cultures, which also has its seat on the ground floor of the villa.

The villa has been completely renovated in line with the guidelines of the conservation plan prepared by the Conservation and Restoration Studio Šentjošt. The value of the investment amounted to approximately 1.9 million euro.

At the opening of the Villa, Mayor Zoran Janković pointed out that it is always in our interest to do something we can be proud of and show to the whole world. The renovated Villa Zlatica is that for sure. »What makes me happy is that it offers both a work environment as well as an environment where you can enjoy yourself.May the villa serve its purpose for a long time.«
