In November, the City of Ljubljana web portal was equipped with responsiveness to differing screen sizes (responsive web design) and in this way we enabled user-friendly access to our web portal for smart phone, tablet computer and other mobile device users.

The www.ljubljana.si web portal now automatically adapts to differing screen sizes (breakpoints are 480, 640, 1024 and 1280 screen pixels). Thus viewing the web content is user-friendly regardless of the access method. In addition to desktop and laptop computers, the flexibility also supports display on other devices such as smart phones, tablet computers, portable computers with smaller screens and PDAs, but also all kinds of web browsers used by these devices.

With this upgrade, which was carried out in line with the latest global web design trends, the www.ljubljana.si web portal is accessible to the broadest circle of people searching for information offered by the City of Ljubljana City Administration in the most diverse situations.

The City of Ljubljana website upgraded with responsive web design was also ranked among the first three finalists for the Netko 2012 award in the category ‘digital performance of the state and public administration’, awarded every November by the Slovenian Chamber of Commerce’s Association of Informatics and Telecommunications.
