Round table on dementia

At City Hall on 6 June 2013, Ljubljana Home Care Institute and the City of Ljubljana held a round table at which they discussed the best ways to help relatives of and people with dementia so that they can live at home for as long as possible.

The City of Ljubljana’s Health and Social Care Department assures a range of activities and services for older people and strives to create conditions for the active and healthy ageing for the city’s residents in their familiar domestic environment, including for people with dementia. The round table saw participation from renowned expert in this field Assoc Prof Dr Aleš Kogoj, President of Spominčice (‘Forget-me-not’) – the Slovenian Association for Dementia Help and Head of Gerontopsychiatry at Ljubljana University Psychiatric Hospital.
