On the streets of Ljubljana this summer it’s once again possible you may come across the ‘rubbish collectors’, who have already become a Ljubljana speciality.

For the sixth year running, there is another chance this year that you might notice young boys and girls with white gloves and special tongs for picking up litter who will be wandering the streets just looking for discarded rubbish.

‘The collectors’, as the citizens of Ljubljana call them, have become favourite summer companions and are always ready to help out the ever-growing numbers of foreign visitors to Ljubljana with information. Until September, you will be able to come across them in the city centre every day between 6pm and 8pm and at weekends also between 10am and noon.
