Scholarship holder gašper habjanič is best student of landscape architecture in europe

Gašper Habjanič, the scholarship holder of the City of Ljubljana, received the European Council of Landscape Architecture Schools (ECLAS) award in Porto, Portugal for the best student of landscape architecture in Europe in 2014.

He received the award upon the proposal of the Department of Landscape Architecture at the Biotechnical Faculty, University of Ljubljana and became the best student of landscape architecture in Europe.

Gašper Habjanič is a member of the management of the European Landscape Architecture Student Association, the main organiser of the international meeting of students of landscape architecture ELASA Winescapes 2011 in Slovenia as well as an active member of the Landscape Architecture Student Association. He conducts an international project Linescapes that explores the role and importance of freehand drawings in landscape architecture, participates in interdisciplinary interfaculty workshop Star Wars Movie VII Project and is co-author of the vision and plan for the Rakova Jelša city park connecting Ljubljana to the Barje region.

ECLAS is an association of university professors and researchers in the field of landscape architecture. In order to promote the highest standards of teaching and research work in landscape architecture, ECLAS awards outstanding achievements of professors, researchers and students.

We would like to extend sincere congratulations to Gašper Habjanič for receiving the ECLAS Outstanding Student Award 2014. This is recognition of both his academic work and extracurricular work on projects in the field of landscape architecture. At the same time it is of utmost importance to Ljubljana and its promotion in Europe.
