Sculpture Exhibitions and Workshops at the City Hall

Two “green” sculpture exhibitions are displayed at the City Hall: the exhibition Ceramics of the Ceramists and Potters Society, and Urša Toman’s exhibition entitled Hanging Gardens.

Members of the Ceramists and Potters Society honoured a prestigious title of Ljubljana – European Green Capital 2016 – with their 13th exhibition. Green colour dominates in the works. It seems to be an interesting challenge for the artists – this year there were a record number of 75 participants. Their works are diverse, designed by using different art techniques; they are provocative, ecological, and expressive. The most interesting work is the joint project entitled “Green that I breathe”.
During the exhibition, there are also free clay workshops every Wednesday from 5 to 7 p.m. The exhibition takes place in the Historical Atrium of the City Hall until 11 September 2016.

Sculpture exhibition of the artist Urša Toman entitled Hanging Gardens, which is displayed in the Right Atrium of the City Hall until 28 August, shows a placement on a wooden construction offering space to wooden, ceramic, stone and concrete sculptures. The Hanging Gardens project was designed by the author as an original sculpture project referring to the project – Ljubljana, the European Green Capital 2016.
On Saturday, 6 August 2016 the author held a free workshop for children.
