Mayor Zoran Janković hosted the former athlete and Vice President of the International Association of Athletics Federations (IAAF), Sergey Bubka, on 19 September 2014 at the City Hall.

Sergey Bubka won six consecutive World Championships, Olympics gold in pole vaulting and is a holder of 35 world records.

He attended the Balkanation competition and the Balkan Athletics Congress in Ljubljana.
