Shanghai donated protection masks to Ljubljana
On Tuesday, 14 April 2020, we received protection masks from Shanghai.
We have received 18,000 type FFP2 masks and 3,000 type II surgical masks.
Protection masks are intended for our institutes in the area of health and social care where the staff is in contact with people who are infected with the coronavirus or are showing symptoms of infection. Masks are also going to be provided to the staff of other city services exposed to the public and to non-governmental organisations providing social assistance.
We sincerely thank the city of Shanghai for the donated masks. In addition, volunteers in our district communities are sowing protective masks for which the City of Ljubljana has provided materials. So far, they have sown 12,000 masks. Masks are also being sown in numerous Ljubljana’s kindergartens.
