Signed Agreement Between Ljubljana and Vienna

On 13 September, Mayor Zoran Janković and Mayor and Governor of Vienna Dr Michael Häupl signed an extended agreement between Ljubljana and Vienna for the period 2016-2020 in Vienna.

Since the signing of the basic agreement on cooperation between the cities in 1999, Ljubljana and Vienna have been successfully cooperating to the benefit of the residents of both cities. During that time the cities have exchanged experiences in various purviews of both city administrations and held numerous expert meetings in Vienna and Ljubljana.
On the basis of the outstanding cooperation the mayors of both cities signed the extended agreement with which they wish to deepen the cooperation between cities in diverse areas.
On the occasion Mayor Zoran Janković stated he is proud to sign the agreement with which he and his colleague from Vienna are ensuring the continuation of great relations between Vienna in Ljubljana in the coming four years. He added that both cities are constantly learning from each other and are exchanging good practices, and at the same time he emphasised his pride and gratitude at signing the agreement with Dr Häupl, in his opinion the best mayor in Europe.
