Signed contract for the Clean for You project co-financing

On 3 April 2018, Mayor Zoran Janković, Minister of the Environment and Spatial planning Irena Majcen and Mayors of the Municipality of Medvode and the Municipality of Vodice Nejc Smole and Aco Franc Šuštar signed the contract on co-financing the cohesion project Wastewater Drainage and Treatment of the Ljubljansko polje Aquifer Area – Clean for You.

It is the largest environmental cohesion project in Slovenia in the period from 2014 to 2020 – its estimated value is over 135.6 million euro including VAT – encompassing the sewage system, secondary sewage system and reservoir construction and the upgrade of the central wastewater treatment plant for Ljubljana, Medvode and Vodice.

At the occasion, Mayor Zoran Janković thanked the Minister, Mayors of Vodice and Medvode and his colleagues in the City Administration and the public waste water management company VO-KA, who made the largest cohesion project in the country possible, and announced that construction works are starting next week. He is convinced the works are going to be well-executed within the deadline.

More detailed presentation of the project is available here.
