15 years of path maintenance at Šmarna gora

Energetika Ljubljana is a socially responsible public company supporting projects that take care of nature and contribute to raising the quality of life in our city. Within this framework the company has been supporting the activities of workers in tourism, that is, also mountaineering and sports at Šmarna gora since 2004.

Šmarna gora is not only the most visited mountain in Slovenia, it also represents an important green symbol of Ljubljana, which is why they devote their attention primarily to the maintenance of paths to Šmarna gora, the set-up and maintenance of benches and information boards. The most comprehensive path maintenance campaign was held in 2014, when the catastrophic ice damage had to be repaired, and a year later they refurbished additional 28 wooden benches set up alongside paths and at starting points towards Šmarna gora.
