The Slovenian Professional Footballers’ Association has assessed the pitch at Stožice stadium to be the best playing surface in Slovenia.

Through the ‘Best Pitch of the Season’ project, the Slovenian Professional Footballers’ Association would like to encourage football clubs and groundsmen to greater care and pride in their work.
The project is being run along the lines of those of PFAs abroad, where the assessment of football pitches from the players’ viewpoint is already well-established practice.

The average mark given to the pitch at Stožice stadium at the halfway point of the national football championship is 4.72.
