In Ljubljana, we are counting down to the final matches of the UEFA European Under-21 Championship, which are taking place at the Stožice Stadium. We have dressed the Stritar Street in football colours.

We have equipped the Stritar Street with worn-out footballs given to us by Ljubljana's football clubs, primary schools and citizens. Around 310 footballs are spread out over the street, they are going to hang there until the end of the championship, and then we are going to process some of them into flower pots together with the pupils from one of Ljubljana's schools.

The conversion of used footballs into street decoration is yet another example of circular economy in Ljubljana, which we have prepared together with the Smetumet Cultural and Ecological Association.

Ljubljana is the proud host of the UEFA European Under-21 Championship. The quarterfinal match is taking place at the Stožice Stadium on Monday, 31 May, and the final on Sunday, 6 June.
